Exploring The Exuma Bahamas by Power Boat

After returning to our Cay power boat in the Exuma Bahamas, we decided to go out and do some cruising. We had a fantastic time settling back in, but soon realized that the boat needed some fixing. Instead of wasting more time trying to repair it, we decided to take a break and play some golf. We had left our 2001 Cray 340 power boat in the Exuma Bahamas while we were sailing in the BBI for a few weeks. To our surprise, everything was in good shape when we returned. The air conditioner still worked, and the boat was just as we had left it.

It was a relief to discover that the boat was still floating and in good condition after being left unattended for almost two months. The air conditioner keeping the humidity out and the water pressure working added to our content. We had some cleaning and organizing to do, but it felt good to be back in our familiar space. The small 34t boat truly felt like home, and we were looking forward to a relaxing evening at a nearby beachfront restaurant, 23 North.

Maintaining and Securing the Cay 340 Power Boat

After returning to our Cay 340 power boat in the Exuma Bahamas, we were relieved to find that everything was in good shape thanks to the diligent monitoring by our hired caretaker. The air conditioner was still working, keeping the humidity out and ensuring the boat was comfortable upon our return. With no water leaks and all systems operational, it felt great to be back on our familiar vessel.

As we settled back into our Cay power boat, we took on the tasks of cleaning and organizing after being away for almost two months. Despite the cleaning ahead, it was a relief to have everything in working order. With plans to head to dinner at 23 North, we looked forward to some relaxation after a long day of travel and boat maintenance.

Enjoying Home on the Water: Cleaning and Organizing Efforts

Upon returning to our Cay power boat in the Exuma Bahamas, we were pleasantly surprised to find it in great condition. The air conditioner was still working, keeping the interior comfortable and free from humidity. The boat was exactly how we had left it, thanks to the diligent watch of a hired caretaker who sent us regular updates and photos.

As we settled back into our floating home, we couldn’t help but feel relieved and grateful. After being away for almost two months, it was a comfort to be in a familiar space. Now it was time to start the cleaning and organizing process to make the boat feel like home again. With a checklist of tasks ahead of us, including stocking up on groceries and tidying up, we were ready to make the most of our time on the water.

Dining Out and Planning Adventures in the Bahamas

In this video, we make it back to our Cay power boat in the Exuma Bahamas to go do some cruising. We had a fun time settling in, and then it seemed like all I did for 3 days was Chase my tail trying to fix the boat. So, I said screw it, let’s go play some golf. We had left our 2001 cray 340 power boat in the Exuma Bahamas while we went to sale in the BBI for a few weeks. We’re home, someone broke again and trashed the place, but that’s actually not true. I’m very impressed with how nice the boat looked when we returned. We actually hired a guy to keep watching the boat, and everything was exactly how we left it – the air conditioner still works, and it’s not trashed.

I’m just glad that everything is working fine after leaving the boat for almost two months. It feels good to be back and have some familiar space. We are going to dinner at n23 North, a beachfront restaurant which is only about a 10-minute walk from our boat. Tomorrow, we will do some cleaning and organizing on the boat and hopefully head down to Jordan shoal. It’s nice to be back in the Bahamas, and there’s a lot to do and explore while dining out and planning adventures.

As we conclude our discussion on power boat cruising in the Bahamas, it’s evident that the journey back to our Cay power boat in the Exuma Bahamas was filled with highs and lows. From settling in and dealing with unexpected boat repairs to the relief of finding everything in good condition, the adventure never ceases.

The importance of having someone watch over your boat while you’re away cannot be overstated, as evidenced by the peace of mind it brings. Returning to our small 34ft boat felt like coming home, a familiar space in the vast ocean.

As we prepare for a night out at 23 North, reflecting on the ups and downs of boat life reminds us to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of cruising in paradise. With gratitude to our patrons and channel members, we look forward to many more adventures in the Bahamas and beyond.
