– Sailing Doodles: Exploring the USVI and Caribbean Waters
In this episode of Sailing Doodles, the crew gets picked up by some friends on a powerboat and ventures into the beautiful waters of the USVI and the Caribbean. They start their adventure with an exciting session of free diving, exploring the vibrant marine life beneath the surface. Afterward, they set sail on their trusty 1989 Sea T56, embarking on their journey to the Caribbean.
Due to the current circumstances with the ongoing pandemic, the crew finds themselves restricted in their options for docking and exploring new locations. However, they make the most of their time by anchoring in the USVI and making new friends along the way. They meet up with a group of friends who are on a magnificent mega yacht, and together they plan a day of spearfishing and snorkeling. Punkie, one of the crew members, even manages to catch a lobster, thanks to her skills as the “lobster queen.” With the help of their friends, they find a calm spot to drop anchor and enjoy a relaxing day snorkeling and diving into the crystal-clear waters. Tony, a professional chef, prepares a mouthwatering spread of food for everyone to enjoy. As they indulge in the delicious meal, they observe the local boaters participating in a lively boat rally, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the Caribbean.
– Free Diving Adventure: Exploring the Underwater World of the National Park
In the latest episode of our sailing adventure, we had the opportunity to explore the underwater world of the National Park through free diving. With the help of our friends on a powerboat, we embarked on an exciting underwater adventure. Our anchor was lifted, and we set sail to discover the hidden treasures beneath the surface.
As we arrived at the National Park, we were greeted by crystal-clear waters that sparkled in the sunlight. Led by our experienced friends, we plunged into the depths and started our free diving journey. The marine life greeted us with vibrant colors and graceful movements. We swam alongside schools of tropical fish, marveling at their beauty. The underwater world unfolded before our eyes, revealing a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of coral reefs and underwater caves.
Thanks to the National Park regulations, we were allowed to catch lobsters for our dinner. Our friend Punkie, known as the “Lobster Queen,” demonstrated her skills in capturing these delicious crustaceans. With a snare in hand, she carefully maneuvered through the coral, searching for her prey. Meanwhile, Tony, a professional chef, prepared a feast on the boat, showcasing his culinary expertise. Laughter and cheers filled the air as we indulged in a mouthwatering spread, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the National Park.
– Meeting Friends on a Mega Yacht: Spearfishing, Snorkeling, and Lobster Hunting
We had the opportunity to meet up with some friends who were on a mega yacht during our time anchored in the US Virgin Islands. They graciously invited us to join them for an exciting day of spearfishing, snorkeling, and lobster hunting.
One of our friends, Punkie, actually went over to their yacht the day before and managed to catch a lobster. We learned that in this area, we are allowed to catch two lobsters per person per day, so we were all eager to give it a try. Our friend, who happens to be a chef on the mega yacht, offered to cook the lobsters for our dinner tonight. It was such a treat to have a professional chef prepare our meal.
The day started with Boris, Kirstie, and Tony, who were part of the mega yacht crew, taking us on their tender boat for snorkeling and diving around the islands. We faced some challenges finding an open mooring due to the current restrictions, but eventually, we found a great spot and picked up a mooring. Despite Punkie and Tony’s impressive free diving skills, they didn’t manage to catch anything on this particular trip. However, that didn’t dampen our spirits, and we enjoyed the beautiful underwater scenery and the company of our friends. To top it all off, Tony, being a professional chef, prepared a delicious spread of food for us to enjoy. It truly was a memorable day, filled with adventure, good food, and great company.

However, they make the most out of their situation by meeting up with friends on a mega yacht for some spearfishing and snorkeling.
Punky, who is quite the free diver, goes over to the mega yacht and manages to catch some lobsters for dinner. One of the friends they meet on the yacht happens to be a professional chef, and he prepares a delicious spread of food for everyone to enjoy. The locals are also out on their speedboats, participating in a little folk rally, creating an interesting and lively atmosphere on the water.
As they savor the mouthwatering dishes prepared by the chef, they can’t help but appreciate the unique experience of enjoying such culinary delights in the middle of the sea. Despite being stuck in one place, their encounter with the professional chef and the vibrant local boating community adds a touch of excitement to their sailing journey.
